Our residential inpatient program
Built for recovery that hasn’t stuck yet.
It’s hard enough to get someone to admit they need help. When the addiction has run for a long time — or when relapse keeps coming back — it’s especially important to find treatment built for that reality.
Residential inpatient treatment works well for severe cases because clients live in a comfortable, supervised setting where the only thing they need to focus on is their recovery. At Northridge Recovery, our aim is a safe place to recover, with a range of treatments and services built for long-term success.
What it is
A controlled setting, with care close at hand.
Residential treatment is a type of addiction treatment in which the person stays at the facility for a set length of time. Clients receive the same kinds of therapy as in other programs, but in a more controlled environment with immediate access to medical services and support.
Residential treatment in Los Angeles typically runs 30–90 days, though some clients stay six months or longer. Important: this is not the same as partial or full hospitalization — though clients live on-site, the setting is residential, not clinical.
Why residential
Benefits of a residential inpatient program.
Three reasons it works for clients who haven’t found their footing in less-structured care.
01 / Distance from triggers
Away from the daily stress that drives use.
The inability to cope with certain stresses is one of the primary causes of relapse. Residential care removes those triggers so the work of recovery can happen.
02 / Continuous support
Medical staff on hand — and accountability built in.
If a medical complication arises, someone is there. And continuous supervision keeps cravings in check during the most fragile weeks of recovery.
03 / Peer connection
Recovery alongside others walking the same road.
Group and peer therapy do something individual therapy can’t — you see the work succeeding in someone else, and that proof matters.

Choosing inpatient rehab
What to look for in an inpatient rehab in LA.
Three things to expect from any program worth committing to.
01 / Range of care
Built for many kinds of addiction.
Many programs run the same playbook for every client. The right one treats you like an individual — and adjusts accordingly.
02 / Comfort
A second home, for as long as you need it.
Comfort matters because anything that aggravates a stay can lead to relapse before coping skills are built. The setting itself is part of treatment.
03 / Aftercare
A plan for after you walk out.
Strong follow-up and aftercare are the difference between relapsing the moment treatment ends and continuing the work for years.
