Dr. Courtney Scott is our medical director. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, completed coursework in Business Administration at UMass Amherst, and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Keck USC School of Medicine.
An award-winning physician, Dr. Scott received the AFAM/LMKU Kenneth Award for Scholarly Achievements in Psychology and was recognized three years running by Keck School of Medicine at USC for outstanding performance in internal medicine. He has also been honored by the African American A-HeFT, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and Obesity and Outcome in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia for his research.
Dr. Scott is board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. He brings deep expertise in MAT protocols and is certified to provide the most up-to-date Medicated Assisted Treatment care. After beginning his career in internal medicine in 2010, he transitioned into behavioral health in 2015 — where his empathy with patients and disciplined approach to medication management have made him one of the most respected medical directors in the field.
Dr. Scott has trained his medical team to treat every patient with the same clinical rigor and personal understanding, ensuring consistent care regardless of circumstance.
